Command Code is the default. Codex, Inception and any OpenAI-compatible endpoint are also available. Keys go to the OS keyring.

No prebuilt installer is published yet. Kolora is source-first: choose your platform and build it locally. No Kolora account, no hosted workspace.
Linux
Build an AppImage.
You need
- Linux with Tauri's GTK and WebKit development libraries
- Rust toolchain
- Node 20.19+ (or 22.12+) and npm
- PipeWire headers, Clang/libclang, GBM/EGL/Wayland headers and a Secret Service keyring
- A Command Code, ChatGPT / Codex, Inception or OpenAI-compatible provider

The AppImage is built on Linux. Skills marketplace installs additionally need Node 22.20+ and npx.
macOS
Build a DMG.
You need
- macOS 11 or newer
- Xcode command line tools
- Rust toolchain
- Node 20.19+ (or 22.12+) and npm
- A Command Code, ChatGPT / Codex, Inception or OpenAI-compatible provider

npm run dist:mac # build DMGRun on macOS. Embedded WebKit means no separate browser install.
DMG builds must run on macOS. Builds are unsigned unless you sign with npm run sign:mac and an Apple Development identity.
After the build
One provider. Then work.
Open a project
Pick a working directory. Kolora reads the AGENTS.md chain and works against the files on your machine.
Set the brakes
Choose ask, auto or deny for writes, commands and desktop input. Plan mode is read-only by construction.
